Butler
We can trace our Butler family back to Joe’s 3rd great-grandfather George Butler, born around 1795, who was a musical instrument maker in Dublin. I am told the family had Co. Kilkenny connections. George moved to London in the early 1830s to set up another musical instrument shop in Covent Garden, later moving the London business to Haymarket.
