Helen's Family Trees
Hello and welcome to my genealogy website. This site contains the family trees of my own blood family and that of my husband, Joe Gordon, along with those of many other families connected to ours by marriage. Most of our ancestral families are Irish (with roots in counties Roscommon, Leitrim, Kerry, Cork, Limerick, Tipperary, Carlow and Dublin), with a little Scottish and English in the mix as well.
Enjoy browsing!

Two ways to search
- If you would like to search my entire database, and navigate through a Name Index (listing everyone in Helen’s Family Trees) or a Pedigree Chart (diagram showing our own family only), then click on ‘Search database’ in the menu above.
- If you would like to research a specific family, and see reports and photographs for that family (our own families only), then click on ‘Our families’ in the menu above. Currently only our own ancestral families are available using this option, but in late 2024 I plan to add other families (e.g. connected to us by marriage) about which I have gathered a good deal of information.
Note that, for privacy reasons, no information on living persons will be shown on this website.
Using this information
Do feel free to take information from this website for your own personal, non-commercial use. However, I would ask that you please credit HelensFamilyTrees.com if you publish any of this information, including photographs, on another website (Ancestry, for example) or in any printed publication. This also applies to information on the RootsMagic pages within this website.
Thank you, and please help!
A huge thank you to all those who have helped me build Helen’s Family Trees over the past 20 years. My database now contains nearly 25,000 names and I look forward very much to hearing from anyone who can help me develop it further. If you can add anything at all to my trees (such as names, dates, stories and photos), I would love to hear from you. Corrections would be very welcome too. To get in touch, please email HelensFamilyTrees@gmail.com or click the contact button below.
Both Joe and I have done an Ancestry DNA test, and for those of you who have done the same test and have been matched with one of us, another way to help would be to put your family tree on Ancestry and mark it public. Having access to even a basic tree can make it much easier for us to figure out how we might be related to each other.
