It appears that Sarah and her husband, Nicholas, inherited the Nolan family farm in Lenamore.

I have been unable to locate a 1911 census return for the household of Sarah and Nicholas. According to National Archives of Ireland online records, there were no returns at all from the townland of Lenamore. Nor was there a Nicholas or Sarah Madden listed at all in 1911 records for anywhere in Kerry.

Sarah married Nicholas MADDEN, son of Daniel MADDEN and Margaret MULVIHILL, on 14 Feb 1888 in Ballylongford, Co. Kerry. Nicholas was born about 1844 in probably Kilgarvan, Lisselton, Co. Kerry. He died on 23 Apr 1919 in Lenamore, Ballylongford, Co. Kerry. He was buried in Killehenny Cemetery, Ballybunion, Co. Kerry.

According to Nicholas's death certificate the cause of death was "probably paralysis, twelve months, no medical attendant".

Much of the information below on the family of Nicholas and his wife, Sarah, has come from the genealogical research of their granddaughter Mary Lane (née O'Sullivan) of Meenkilly, Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick. I am very grateful to Mary and her family for sharing their knowledge.
