A headstone in Kilconly Cemetery, Ballybunion reads:

Further research tells us that this Roger D. Mulvihill emigrated to the United States in 1914 and lived in Chicago. Hi actual birth year appears to be 1893 rather than 1892.

Nora was from Asdee, Ballylongford.

John Joseph CAREW [Parents] was born about 21 Oct 1866 in Newtown, Soloheadbeg, Co. Tipperary. He was christened on 21 Oct 1866 in Solohead, Co. Tipperary. He died on 12 Jun 1935 in Wentworth, Ontario. He was buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hamilton, Ontario. John married Ann (Annie) KELLY on 20 Apr 1909 in Hamilton, Ontario.

Sponsors at John's baptism were Anthony Ryan and Margaret Godfrey. The family's address on the baptismal record is given as Newtown. Presumably this is the townland of Newtown in the parish of Soloheadbeg, and John's birthplace.

John emigrated to Canada in 1888 (according to the 1911 census of Canada) or 1891 (according to the 1921 census). He lived in Hamilton, Ontario where he worked as a mechanic (according to his marriage certificate), iron worker (from his daughter's birth certificate), plumber (from the 1921 census) and fireman for an underground cable company (according to his death certificate).

Ann (Annie) KELLY [Parents] was born about 1866 in Hamilton, Ontario. Ann married John Joseph CAREW on 20 Apr 1909 in Hamilton, Ontario.

Annie was a tailoress, according to her marriage certificate.

Mary Leocadia CAREW was born on 6 May 1910 in 236 Catharine St. North, Hamilton, Ontario. She died on 11 Apr 1944 in Hamilton, Ontario. She was buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hamilton, Ontario.

Mary worked as a clerk for an insurance company. She suffered from multiple sclerosis and died from the condition at the age of 33. She was unmarried. At the time of her death Mary's home address, where she lived with her mother, was 6 Holton Avenue South in Hamilton. It is not known if Mary had siblings.

Patrick KELLY was born in Ireland. He died. Patrick married Honora O'ROURKE.

Honora O'ROURKE was born in Ireland. She died. Honora married Patrick KELLY.

Louis Laurence CASSIDY [Parents] was born in 1877 in Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh. He died in 1928 in Mater Hospital, Dublin. He was buried in Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin. Louis married Matea Emilia (Amy) MADDEN in 1902 in Church of the Three Patrons, Rathgar, Dublin.

Louis was a distinguished medical doctor and had been Master of the Coombe Hospital in Dublin for about seven years when he was killed in a hunting accident, having been thrown from his horse. He was aged just 51.

Louis' obituary in The British Medical Journal of 10 November 1928 tells us "Dr. Cassidy received his early education in his native town, and after he had spent some years at sea and obtained a master mariner's certificate commenced the study of medicine at Edinburgh University, where, in 1908 he graduated M.B., Ch. B. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1911, and was a Fellow and a member of the Council of the Royal Academy of Medicine. He was gynaecologist to the Royal City of Dublin Hospital, examiner in midwifery and gynaecology in Dublin University, a former senior demonstrator in anatomy in Royal College of Surgeons, and gynaecologist to Dr. Steeven's Hospital, Dublin. Dr. Cassidy was a distinguished lecturer in gynaecology and cancer, and an ardent supporter of the National Cancer Research Campaign, which he helped to organise, and served as its secretary." We also learn that "Dr. Cassidy joined the Royal Army Medical Corps as a captain soon after the outbreak of the war, serving with the forces in Salonika, where he established himself as an authority on malaria".

Matea Emilia (Amy) MADDEN [Parents] was born about 1875 in Chile. She died in 1967 in Dublin. She was buried in Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin. Matea married Louis Laurence CASSIDY in 1902 in Church of the Three Patrons, Rathgar, Dublin.
