James TOBIN [Parents] was born in 1866 in probably Tullyval, Oakport, Co. Roscommon. He died in 1956. James married Ann (Annie) CONWAY on 27 Apr 1903 in Boyle registration district, Co. Roscommon.

Ann (Annie) CONWAY was born about 1876 in Co. Roscommon. Ann married James TOBIN on 27 Apr 1903 in Boyle registration district, Co. Roscommon.

According to the 1911 census, Annie and James had been married for eight years and had no children.


John CHEASTY was born about 1835. He died on 2 Apr 1904 in Old Grange, Clonea, Co. Waterford. John married Brigid FLAHAVAN.

John was a farmer.

Brigid FLAHAVAN [Parents] was born about 1837 in Portlaw, Co. Waterford. She died on 29 Aug 1909 in Old Grange, Clonea, Co. Waterford. Brigid married John CHEASTY.

Brigid was a member of the Flahavan family, owners of the well-known oat milling company based in Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford.

Brigid and her husband, John, had six sons and two daughters. Two of the sons emigrated to Australia, one went to the United States and the remaining three (believed to be Edward, Maurice and Thomas), along with the two girls, stayed in Ireland.

Brigid was related to the Flahavan families of Glenhouse and Kilnagrange, Kilmacthomas, and by marriage to Rev. Maurice Cheasty (c.1865-1932) who was a priest in Carrick-on-Suir at the time of her death.

Edward CHEASTY was born about 23 Mar 1855 in Co. Waterford. He was christened on 23 Mar 1855 in Portlaw, Co. Waterford. He died on 21 Oct 1916 in 71 Irishtown, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

In his later years it appears Edward, who was a draper, lived with his sister Mary (Murphy) and her family in Clonmel. He never married.
